Deming, New Mexico – The Deming Fire Department wants to welcome you to their home in the heart of downtown Deming on Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
“We want to open our doors to the community so they can understand what it takes to be a firefighter. We are a family-friendly department with a lot of benefits and flexibility that we want to share with you.” –Fire Chief Joe Owen.
At the Open House, there will be something for everyone! Community members can expect to have burgers and hot dogs prepared by your local firefighters, activities and obstacles for kids AND grown-ups, and a lot of education around what it means to be a firefighter in Deming.
The Deming Fire Department offers outstanding benefits and has travel stipends and relocation assistance available. Have you ever wondered what it takes to be a firefighter in Deming? Here are some of the requirements:
- No experience needed – City of Deming pays for training and licensing
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
