 City Council has approved the City to enter into a purchase agreement with Allsup's Yesway as part of a West Side Revitalization project. The proposed project is going to bring in over $7M in private investment and has an open date in 2025.

Harbor Freight is one of the first commercial tenants actively recruited to the former K-Mart building where City Hall resides. This project is set to open it's doors in June 2024.

The state has pledged $200,000 in assistance from the Local Economic Development Act

(LEDA) so the business can hire an additional 21 manufacturing-distillery employees over

the next three years, up from the current 15 today.

Green Stream Farms 2021

 The $250,000 grant from the state Local Economic Development Act (LEDA) job-creators fund will allow Green Stream Farms to more than double its annual harvest, from 250 tons to 700 tons by 2022, adding 23 employees over the next 5 years. The planned construction and upgrades will increase algae production to the level of an industrial scale, allowing for continued expansion and economic growth.
