Deming Luna County Economic Development (DLCED) is the non-profit designated for economic development in Deming, Luna County. Our Mission is to build and maintain a flourishing community by growing from within. Creating opportunities for our diverse population is our priority. We serve our businesses by promoting, enhancing, and engaging our community. We do this by working closely with the local governments and other agencies impacting economic development to meet our Mission. Our Director serves on the Southwestern Area Workforce Development Board, NM Partnership Board, and NM IDEA Board representing our community and building relationships across the State of NM to better serve the needs of Deming, Luna County.
BRE/A efforts are targeted toward keeping our existing businesses flourishing, and attracting industry that supports our local community bringing value through investment and jobs.
It's important to us that we work with training agencies and businesses to determine what the workforce trends and needs are and then develop programs and opportunities to retain our most valuable asset, the people of Luna County.
Community development, infrastructure improvement, housing, recreation and amenities are all part of the focus for the Livability Committee. Ensuring that Deming is a place where people and businesses want to be is critical to economic development.
